3" and Junior sized Bleach Vinylmation set
Here are a few commissioned customs based on the anime Bleach. The 3" is of the main character Ichigo. The Jr. is of his defected, artificial soul, Kon. Done in acrylic paint and I sculpted the Jr.'s mane, muzzle, and button.

9" Balloon/Fireworks Vinylmation
Here's a commission I worked on, and the idea was to riff on the original Vinylmation Park 1 balloon chaser design. Instead of a daytime sky, the client wanted an evening sky. Also added fireworks, silhouettes of The Matterhorn and Cinderella's castle, the UP house, and some Swarovski crystal elements to the fireworks. Gave the head a gloss sealant spray to make it look like a balloon. Might make a few more tweaks, but this is the basic idea, enjoy!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Mickey Vinylmation
I grew up with the Ninja Turtles in the late 80s, so I decided to base my superhero on one of them! My favorite of the 4 was always Raphael, so I went with the red bandana. But I guess it could be any of the 4 Turtles really, because they all originally had red bandanas in the comic. I kept Mickey Mouse's colors for his face, shorts, shoes and gloves. Gave him a crime-fighting gritty look and an "M" on his belt for Mickey, and that's that! Enjoy!

Vinylmation Illustration "What the Blank?"
I wanted to put onto paper the part of the design process I usually don't get to post here...the thinking process. I've always loved drawing hands, and it doesn't hurt that they're always an easy subject matter to find! Lots of left hands in my illustrations for some reason lol. Anyway, this is me thinking about my next design at my desk. I used pen & ink, black marker, and acrylic washes for the hand. I call it "What the Blank?"

Charity Elephant Digital Illustration
Here's a digital illustration I made in Adobe Illustrator for a childrens' charity book. I tried to make it look like a watercolor painting, and I think it turned out kinda cool. This was done with a touch screen and stylus on an HP Touch Smart. Click image to enlarge.
Universal Raphael Digital Illustration
Here's a digital illustration I made in Photoshop. It's based on a full color action figure named Mutant Raphael, but I made it black and white to look like he's in an old horror movie. This was done with a touch screen and stylus on an HP Touch Smart. Click image to enlarge.
Shadow of the Colossus Digital Illustration
Here's a digital illustration I made in Adobe Illustrator. It's a character from one of my favorite video games ever, Shadow of the Colossus. This is the first Colossus you have to defeat. I wanted it to look like a watercolor painting, so I used a lot of light wash colors. This was done with a touch screen and stylus on an HP Touch Smart. Click image to enlarge.

3" Medusa Bust Vinylmation $100
If interested in buying this figure for $100, please email me at joeofwar@aol.com
I had this little accessory pillar from an action figure lying around, so I decided to incorporate it into a Vinylmation custom. I used a head from a 3" Vinylmation pink blank, some Aves Apoxie for sculpting, and the pillar accessory. I sculpted Medusa's snake hair and the top of the pillar display. Didn't glue the head on in case down the road I feel like making more stone heads to display! Paints are acrylic. Citadel Paints "Snot Green" for the snake highlights.

3" Sasquatch Suit Mario Vinylmation $50
If interested in buying this figure for $50, please email me at joeofwar@aol.com
This isn't a suit that Mario actually gets to wear in any of his games, but I thought it'd be fun to make. The club is sculpted from Aves Apoxie, and the fur is from a Dunny figure. Paints are Citadel acrylics.
